OUR STORY & MISSION
About Cheshire Afrofest.
Cheshire Afro Fest is an exciting new cultural festival coming to Crewe’s Queen’s Park on June 6, 2026. Founded by Ken and Amaka Lawton, this landmark event emerges at a timely moment in a racially charged Britain, offering a joyful, unifying space dedicated to integration, inclusion, and diversity in the heart of Cheshire.
Born out of a vision to highlight the beauty of multicultural Britain, Cheshire Afrofest celebrates the richness of African and Afro-diasporic heritage through food, music, fashion, art, and community expression.
More importantly, it serves as an open invitation to everyone, regardless of background, generation, or walk of life, to come together in a vibrant, non-partisan environment of learning, sharing, and celebration.
